A show with participation for Infants, relating the science curriculum to the Construction Industry.
Your infants become trainee builders, and join Andy or Jan in an attempt to construct a house in your school hall. They learn all the stages involved in constructing a house, and all of the people who do each job. Volunteers become Bricklayers, Carpenters, Plumbers, Roofers and Electricians. Pupils also learn some very important facts about building site safety, which is especially useful if you're having any work done on or near your school site!
This project was specially commissioned by the Construction Industry Training Board in 1995, and has been evolved and adapted over the years, but has remained continually popular in schools ever since.
