Maths Activity Days

The Maths workshops are suitable for students between the ages of 10 - 14 . As all workshops are practical in nature we can accomadate groups of up to 60 at a time .

We will set the theme, provide suitable materials and teach some of the theory to tackle the problem then allow the pupils to learn through investigation, trial and error. The workshops are based around a context and may not at first sight appear to be maths focused. The pupils have to apply the maths taught in class such as ; measurement, angles, speed and acceleration, measurement of distance, interpretation of graphs, radius and diameters. We will work with you to decide on an appropriate theme to fit in with your curriculum planning.

We also have a wide range of maths games and puzzels that can be used or hired form STEMworks.

Cost of workshops depends on number of pupils and materials required but start at £225 per day. Contact us to enquire about cost and making a booking.
