MOVERS & SHAKERS: a show from TIMEZONES for KS2

An interactive show where children work as a team to design a new Planet Earth.

Every year there are more and more people on planet earth. What can you do? It’s obvious: build another earth – and your children are in charge! Under the tuition of their future boss, who has time-travelled back to the present to deliver a training session, your KS2 pupils will learn to build a planet ‘from atoms up’: joining atoms together to make molecules, then molecules to make rocks, then rocks to make tectonic plates, then plates to make planets.

This is a fun play for children to watch and participate in, as trainee planet engineers of the future. They examine different materials and their properties, the formation of solids, liquids and gasses, types of rock, tectonic plates and their problems, and even fossilizing a brave volunteer.

Movers & Shakers has toured to hundreds of schools and science festivals across the country, and has been performed at British Association of Science Festival and the Natural History Museum in London.

AUDIENCE: KS2                 DURATION: 50 minutes                 COST: £120+VAT
