Primary Science Day

We will work with you to arrange a stimulating science day based on the needs of your pupils. Our workshops are closely linked to the National Curriculum but can be adapted to meet your students needs. Wherever possible we will try and involve the pupils in investigations, basing the projects on real life senarios. We have access to class sets of equipment such as Data Loggers and resources that would be difficult for your school to purchase.

Although we will adapt our Science workshops at present we can offer the following.

Electricity : How would you make the perfect burglar alarm

Fair tests : Design a bath Mat for Granny

Data Logging : Heart rate monitoring, design the sun galles for rabbit, the most reflective coast for dark winters, what is the best material to keep the potato warm, My friend has some drums I want to keep the noise out.

Floating and Sinking : Will an egg float, diplacement theory !! heavy and light. 

Properties of materials : Insulators and conductors, cold and hot, man made and natural. 

Science investigations : How to filter water, what's the best tooth paste, rocket powered cars.

During the day we can work with a maximum of three classes of up to 30 students. ( number of classes will depend on the workshop chosen ) Cost  £225 plus materials.
