RIAT Primary School Engineering Competition 2015
On July 17th 2015 teams from 18 schools in the Fairford area brought their propeller and balloon powered vehicles along to the Air Shows Technozone.
At the show the teams worked hard making a KNEX flying machine with the best teams being awarded the design prize, congratulation to Eastcombe primary school. The pupils were also interviewed about their design, teamwork and problem solving skills. The prize was given to Powell’s C of E Primary school in this area.
The champions of the vehicle competition, who had worked so hard to make a vehicle that travelled fastest along the 5m track, were Bibury C of E primary school. Their vehicle emblazoned in the school colours beat all comers speeding along the track in less than 5 seconds.
