Schools – KS2 Worcester STEM Challenge begins!

2018 is set to be the ‘Year of Engineering’ and we are excited to announce the launch of the Worcester City STEM Challenge.

Learning about structures and mechanisms, and using their knowledge to solve a construction challenge has proved an engaging and exciting activity for many schoolchildren. Worcester City Council and Worcestershire LEP have recognised this exciting opportunity and are committed to supporting schools through the sponsoring of the STEM Challenge.  This means a subsidised cost of £70 (normally £170).

STEMworks will be visiting schools in February to deliver half day workshops, where a team will be chosen to represent your school at the area final within Worcester. Winning models will then be on display at the Worcestershire Skills Show on March 7th 2018.
