This half day course is built around a series of practical activities which link to electricity sections of the KS2 National Curriculum. Delegates will have the opportunity to practice activities which they can take back to their classrooms to support learning. The activities are designed to impose cognitive conflicts, combat common misconceptions and advance pupils’ knowledge and understanding of electricity.

The course will also highlight those practical activities which can be used to develop students understanding of the scientific method and process through consideration of variables, fair testing, data recording, data analysis, causal relationships and evaluations.

Teacher delegates will be provided with key materials linked to the day and guidance that will aid their deployment of the activities in their classrooms.
