Improving your ICT Curriculum, where to start ?

12 March, 2012

This course is designed with the current education climate in mind. With curriculum changes in the pipeline this course offers a common sense approach to developing a schools ICT curriculum. This course does not advocate a complete overhaul but instead offers ideas for adding to what currently exists.

During this course we will:

  • Look at technological developments and how these affect ICT in our schools
  • Consider what a modern fit for purpose ICT Curriculum should include and how this differs from what currently exists
  • Investigate ways of improving the current provision
  • Explore ways of engaging staff with the process of updating the ICT Curriculum

At the end of the course ICT Subject Leaders will have begun to map out changes to the current ICT Curriculum and will have strategies for continuing this work back at school.
