A general introduction to supporting children on the autistic spectrum

Who is it for ?

This course is aimed at teachers, teaching assistants, SENCos and school governors who have an interest in supporting a child/children on the autistic spectrum.  Participants are likely to have little, or no, knowledge of ASD, but have the desire to find out more and share their experience(s) with others. During the day there will be opportunities to consider strategies specific to participant’s own work.

Who is the course for ?

This course is aimed at primary school teachers (including NQTs), teaching assistants, SENCos and school governors who wish to gain a better understanding of supporting children with general learning difficulties.  No previous knowledge or training are required.  Participants will be given opportunities during the day to ask questions specific to their own work as well as take part in practical learning tasks.

Cross Curricular Science Course- with Numeracy, Literacy and ICT

Teaching Science as part of a creative curriculum. Science touches many areas of the curriculum and can effectively be taught together with other subjects. This practical day will give you the opportunity to learn new science skills and share practical ideas with colleagues.
