FESTOMANE Primary School Challenge 2018
It is time to book your Festomane Primary Challenge Workshop for 2017/18. The year the main exhibition will fall on the 14th of February – Valentine’s Day. That means our year 6 workshops will carry the theme “Fall in Love with Engineering”.
Stroud’s Festival of Engineering and Manufacturing (FESTOMANE) has grown over the past 6 years to become an incredibly successful celebration of local and regional STEM industries, education and heritage. STEMworks are pleased to announce that FESTOMANE will support 8 FREE primary school workshops within the Stroud area.
In this fun full day workshop pupils will investigate forces, hydraulics and pneumatics. Pupils will then use K’nex to design and build their own devices.
Winning teams will be invited to SGS College for a further STEM challenge. Their designs will also be displayed in the main exhibition during February half term, which has previously featured HRH Prince Charles, CBBCs Fran Scott and Marty Jopson.
