Cub’s Lego Challenge

On Saturday the 27th Jan 2024, we hosted the first annual King Alfred’s Cubs STEM Challenge. Packs from across the district sent teams to compete against each other. Their challenge was to build a tower to call for help and then design & program a Lego robot to move around an obstacle course.

All the cubs that attended did an amazing job, all building a great tower and being able to program their robot to complete the course. As well these 6-9 year olds stood up and spoke to the room about their designs, with confidence. We want to say a big well done to all the children that took part.

Everyone who took part were winners, however, the overall winners from the day we the Wantage Cub pack, because they showed a consistent teamwork and problem solving through out the day. Well done Wantage Cubs
