Lockheed Martin Engineering Challenge Final

Eight schools participated in this years Lockheed Martin engineering challenge. A team from each school was selected to compete at The Royal International Air Tattoo on Saturday 15th July.

Students in years 9 and 10 from Farmor’s, Archway, Cirencester Kingshill, Highworth Warneford, The Cotswold School, Stroud High School, Marling School and Carterton Community College were supported by a Lockheed Martin mentor.  Each student assigned themselves a role; structural engineers, software engineer, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer and team leader.

It was an incredible contest. Teamwork was great and spirits were high throughout the challenge. Congratulations to Cirencester Kingshill on winning. The trophy was presented by Stephanie Hill, Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems.
