Primary Workshops

Capacitor Cars

Suitable for: Years 5 – 8
Student number: up to 36
Workshop length: half to full day

Join us for an exciting workshop that explores the future of transportation, specifically electric vehicles. Your students will have the opportunity to work in teams to create an electronic circuit that will power their very own electric car. While designing their car, students will need to consider its shape, material choices, and structure - honing their skills and expanding their knowledge in Science, Design & Technology.

This engaging activity will not only inspire your students but also provide them with the chance to develop their teamwork and problem-solving abilities. All required materials for the workshop will be provided by STEMworks, so all you need to do is bring your students and their enthusiasm. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to inspire and prepare your students for the future of transportation!
