Primary STEM Challenge 2026 Launches with a Visionary New Challenge from Specsavers
Schools across the region are once again gearing up for an exciting year of creativity, innovation and problem-solving as the Primary STEM Challenge 2026 gets underway.
Designed for KS2 primary and middle schools, the challenge provides pupils with the opportunity to apply their STEM skills in a fun, engaging and real-world context. This year's challenge has been created in partnership with the innovative team at Specsavers, who have set an exciting brief that is sure to inspire young minds.
Working alongside STEMWorks, pupils will be challenged to explore ideas, develop solutions and bring their designs to life. We are already looking forward to seeing the creativity, teamwork and engineering talent that schools showcase throughout the programme.
The challenge promises to be a real spectacle, with students encouraged to think creatively, solve problems and demonstrate the skills that are at the heart of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
At its core, the Primary STEM Challenge is about inspiring the next generation, giving young people the confidence to explore new ideas and discover where STEM subjects could take them in the future.
A huge thank you to Specsavers for developing this year's challenge and to STEMWorks for helping to bring the experience to schools across the region.
