Primary STEM Challenge 2026/27 Gets Off to a Flying Start in Gloucestershire
The first Primary STEM Challenge Gloucestershire (K'Nex Challenge) of the 2026/27 academic year took place yesterday, and what a fantastic start it was.
We were delighted to once again be working alongside Renishaw, bringing an exciting day of hands-on STEM learning to primary school pupils. Throughout the morning, students were challenged to think like engineers as they designed, built and tested their own potential energy-powered vehicles using K'Nex.
The challenge encouraged pupils to apply their knowledge of science, engineering and design whilst developing key skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving. It was fantastic to see so much creativity on display, with teams producing a wide range of innovative vehicle designs and demonstrating real enthusiasm for the challenge.
Events like these help bring STEM subjects to life, giving young people the opportunity to explore engineering concepts in a practical and engaging way. The energy, excitement and determination shown by the pupils throughout the day made for a memorable event and a brilliant start to this year's programme.
A huge thank you to Renishaw for their continued support of the challenge and their commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.
