Lockheed Martin Engineering Challenge
at the Royal International Air Tattoo

Calling all secondary schools in Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire!

We are delighted to offer your Year 9 students an incredible, fully-funded opportunity to participate in the prestigious Lockheed Martin Engineering Challenge Day.

This in-school STEM workshop brings learning to life with an exciting space-themed challenge. Students will work together to design, test, and refine solutions involving robotics, electrical circuits, and construction skills, presenting their innovations to a panel of judges.

Highlights of the Challenge:

  • Fully funded by Lockheed Martin and RAF Charitable Trust

  • Open to up to 60 students per school

  • Winning team advances to the grand final at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) on Saturday, 19th July 2025

  • Free RIAT tickets for the winning team and two accompanying adults

Your school’s role is simple:

  • Host the workshop at your venue

  • Supervise participating students

  • Ensure the winning team attends the grand final
