Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) works!

Based in Gloucestershire STEMworks provides a central source of enhancement and enrichment information on STEM subjects and activities for schools. We run a wide range of STEM activities such as workshops, competitions and awards.

We are able to  provide all schools and colleges with advice and guidance on a wide range of STEM activities, helping them to identify which opportunities would best inspire their young people in STEM. This includes advice on local and regional schems as well as those national activities listed in the STEM Directories. We can put you in touch with other schools that have used the schemes.

STEM Ambassadors are individuals who are willing to give their time and energy free of charge to help inspire young people in STEM. They can do this in a variety of ways; from illustrating specific careers or helping with classroom activities, to assisting in extracurricular activities such as clubs, challenges and competitions. Linking schools and businesses
Business - STEMworks runs a variety of programmes to bring STEM businesses and education together. Through these links, employers can help raise the aspirations of young people and are able to be directly involved in initiatives which encourage young people to develop key skills required for the world of work

Schools - STEMworks ;can provide support for the STEM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), generating links with employers who can help to bring a real life perspective to the curriculum.
Many students find that, being involved with employers, increases their motivation to learn, and helps them to have a much better understanding of what will be required of them once they enter the world of work.

Schools support
We run competitions, workshops and activities in all schools. We work with pupils between the ages of 5 – 18.
